Ruby to host riverfront poet’s breakfast
10th November 2005
WENTWORTH’S historic riverfront will be the prefect setting for the upcoming Earthbeat festival poet’s breakfast from 9am this Sunday. (November 13)
And the township’s iconic Paddle Steamer Ruby will be a fitting backdrop for the planned activities.
Billed as a relaxed, family affair, the morning’s activities will include a delicious hot or cold breakfast menu along with music and poetry.
The finest vantage point for the poet’s breakfast will be a seat aboard the P.S. Ruby.
VIP seating aboard the grand old lady of the rivers is limited to 30 (five tables of six) and booking is essential.
Tickets for the breakfast are $12 a head and can be purchased by contacting the Wentworth Visitor Information Centre on 5027 3624 or at the Darling Street centre in person.
Those wishing to sit on the Ruby are advised to get in quick.
All other seating for the day will be BYO chair or blanket for a relaxed picnic feel.
Breakfast will be served from 9am and if last year’s event is any indication, getting there early is a good idea.
For more information or to make a booking for Ruby seating contact Wentworth Visitor Information Centre on 5027 3624.
